21 Days of Prayer

Happy New Year! This is going to be an exciting year for Westbrook Church. As God leads us, we are planning to start the building process this spring and move into our new permanent facility this fall. That, of course, is on top of us continuing to reach out to our community, worship together weekly, develop our small group ministry, and do the ministry God has called us to.

With all that happening in 2020, we believe it is best to begin this year with a community wide prayer initiative. So starting tomorrow, January 13, we are calling the community to 21 days of prayer to kick off this very important year in the life of Westbrook. In Jeremiah 33:3 God says, “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” God wants us to come to him, and as we do, he will lead us and show us things we can’t possibly imagine. That’s God’s promise to us.

For these 21 days, we have a devotional that will walk you through Jesus’ words called Praying the King’s Agenda. We will also have two opportunities a week to gather as a community for prayer. First, every Monday night at 6:30 at the church office we will gather to pray for our community for 30 minutes. If you can’t make it but want to call in there is a number on the back of bulletin for a conference call.

Second, every Wednesday at noon at the church office we will gather for prayer during these three weeks. Again, if you would like to call in you can use the conference call number and pray with us via the phone. Also, look for the weekly Westbrook Email for a list of prayer requests you can be praying for throughout the week.

This will be an exciting year and God will continue to do great things for us as we seek him and call on his name. Thanks for being a part of the Westbrook Community. Join us as we pray for God’s leading.
