About us
OUR HISTORY
Be Yourself!
At Westbrook, we work hard each day to create a welcoming environment. We want you to feel you Belong and Become what God wants you to be.

There isn't a list of "right behaviors". Be yourself! By creating that kind of community, God’s Spirit will draw us to Himself, give us blessings, and help all of us to be more like Jesus. We want to take God's blessings and share them with others in our local community.

Small Groups and Ministries

A large number of us meet regularly in Small Groups where we discuss topics that apply to just about all of life's seasons. We also share God’s blessings through the Love, INC (In the Name of Christ) ministry, feeding school children on weekends, raising money for clean water projects with World Vision, supporting ministries in Europe, Jamaica and Perú and other activities in the world.

Our Beginnings

Kevin Sharpe is the founding pastor and has ministered for over 30 years in the areas of youth, small groups, outreach, missions and adult discipleship. Kevin spent three years on staff at Westwood Community Church, prior to helping birth Westbrook Community Church.

Westbrook started with a core group of 80 people from Westwood, and services began on September 18, 2011 at Clover Ridge Elementary School. After three years, we moved our services to Southwest Christian High School. Three years later, we moved to Chaska High School, and then into our new facility in 2021.

You are welcome to Belong and Become with us as we move into the future!
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT AT A WESTBROOK SERVICE
By receiving all that God wants to give us and giving his blessings away we will create a caring community where all can belong, become like Christ and be a blessing to the world.

We will live out this vision by leading with grace to everyone who we meet and welcoming all people because all people matter to God.

We will rely on the Holy Spirit for growth, direction and ministry, knowing that the goal of spiritual growth is to change to be more like Jesus in our character and actions.

We will focus on being a blessing to the world by compassionately meeting the needs of the lost, the least and those left out of God’s justice, wanting to introduce people to Jesus because he is the hope of the world.
